Tracy Shidler
Owner / Parts Manager

Tracy Shidler Owner and trained technician for Motorcycle Performance Service Inc., became interested in motorcycles over twenty years ago after losing interest in working on cars. His first bike, a CB700 Nighthawk S, was purchased in 1986 and sparked Tracy’s interest when he began to ‘tinker’ on it.\nIn 1987, Tracy became increasingly enthusiastic about motorcycles and decided to try his talent at drag racing. He maintained a job working in a factory while pursuing his hobby. Within a year or so, Tracy became disinterested in drag racing but not his growing passion for working on motorcycles. \nGetting laid off of his factory job in 1990 became an opportunity for Tracy to pursue his new found hobby on a full time basis. He began to work for a small motorcycle dealership as a technician while gaining every opportunity to get formal training as well as experience on the job. \nTracy then became introduced to Western Eastern Roadracing Association (WERA) by a good friend that ran the series and invited him to several race events. In 1994, his love for the sport prompted him to set up his own bike as he began racing as a privateer in WERA. Tracy continued racing and working in motorcycle shops through 1998. Then in 1999, he started his professional racing career in WERA backed by Kawasaki’s Team Green Support Effort. He ran this endurance series for three years until the Team Green Support Effort ended. \nTracy then decided to utilize his knowledge and experience to open his own small repair shop. The business originated out of his small garage and focused on motorcycle repair and salvage at that time. Today the business continues to grow including three full time employees working for Tracy. \nTracy’s education includes Master Motorcycle Repair through International Correspondence, Team Suzuki Endurance Advanced Riding School, and various dealership technical training schools. He is currently a track coach for Sport Bike Track Time which allows him to stay connected to the sport near to his heart. In order to continue providing his customers the best possible service, Tracy works in conjunction with his technician on several occasions. He feels strongly about the importance of staying current on new product in the industry as well as benefiting from each other’s knowledge and experience. \nMotorcycle Performance provides service on custom metric bikes, Harley’s, sport bikes, ATV’s and dirt bikes. Specific services range from general repair and/or service to high performance enhancement and engine building. Machine shop services are also available. Feel free to contact us for more detailed information.
